Shelly Twin Peaks
Self-portrait photo series, 2019
In this photographic self-portrait series Meg reimagines herself as fictional character Shelly Johnson from David Lynch’s Twin Peaks, an American television serial drama following the FBI investigation of the brutal murder of a popular teenager and homecoming queen, Laura Palmer. Meg blurs the line between fact and fiction staging narratives from the original television series in locations she selected from her own home town. Meg performs the feeling of isolation, loneliness and hints at the danger and violence lurking below the facade of polite small-town life.
